2019 CHEVROLET CRUZE VS. 2019 HONDA CIVIC
  • The new 2019 Cruze starts at just under $18,000 while the new Civic starts at nearly $19,500, allowing you to choose the Cruze hatchback for nearly the same price as the base Civic.
  • Under the hood, the new Cruze comes with a standard 1.4-liter turbocharged four cylinder engine that produces 153-horsepower and 177 pounds-foot of torque. The Civic comes with a standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 158-horsepower but falls short with 138 pounds-foot of torque, resulting in the Cruze having a more responsive acceleration than the Civic.
  • The Cruze is the only vehicle in its class to offer a turbocharged diesel engine, resulting in it achieving an estimated 31 mpg in the city and 48 mpg on the highway. The Civic, on the other hand, achieves up to 32 mpg in the city and 43 mpg on the highway.
  • Every Cruze model comes with a standard seven-inch touchscreen display for the Chevrolet infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Although the Civic comes with a standard infotainment system, you'll have to upgrade to another trim to get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
  • The new Cruze comes with an automatic transmission while the Civic comes with a six-speed manual transmission and will charge more for an automatic transmission.
