Performance
Both lineups offer turbocharged engines,
providing you with premium power and efficiency. While the Ford Escape does
offer the stronger engine option with a 2.0-liter turbocharged, delivering 250
horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, the Trailblazer is the more efficient
option with its 1.3-liter turbocharged powertrain. The Chevy SUV enjoys an
EPA-estimated fuel economy of 29/33 mpg city/highway. The Ford Escape's
2.0-liter engine only manages 23/31 mpg city/highway.
Technology
Drivers in the Trailblazer start with a
seven-inch touchscreen, courtesy of the Chevrolet Infotainment System. You'll
also enjoy a standard Wi-Fi hotspot and Apple CarPlay®/Android Auto™ smartphone
connectivity. The Ford Escape does come standard with a Wi-Fi hotspot and now
includes a standard eight-inch touchscreen on the base model with smartphone
integration. However, only the Trailblazer offers wireless Apple CarPlay® and
Android Autoâ„¢ capability - the Ford Escape doesn't currently feature this
technology.
